Welcome to my art gallery of unique paintings and drawings ,
a blend of seriousness with a touch of playfulness of my personality.
I am available for commissions and my paintings and drawings can be purchased as originals and prints.

I paint in watercolour and oil, using bright contrasting colours and I love to add fine detail and tones reflecting natural vivid real-world elements.
I create colourful and happy paintings of memories of family times, family pets, countries and cities and places I have visited ,stayed at ,and people I encountered, each provides me positive reaction from people whom I paint for.
​
My great interest in photography and sketching provides a significant source for my sketching in pencil as I start a new drawing and painting idea, developing the choices to a final drawing then the painting or drawing commences.

I make vibrant colourful landscape paintings and drawings with mountains, lochs, seascape, people and buildings of places I have visited ,from my home country Scotland and holiday visits to Iceland ,Spain and other countries.

My portraits are enjoyable to create of people either as individuals or in group settings that I know and have met and of loved ones no longer around.
​
I love to paint and draw animals and other wildlife creatures by photographing during my many visits around Scotland and Spain, to closely study their fascinating features and colours. I have of created paintings of my own cats and of friends cats, capturing the memory of the family pet no longer around, always challenges me to create an enjoyable finished painting.

My still life compositions are of great interest to myself as the paintings contain familiar family household objects and ornaments that are personal to me and can contain fruit, plants and flowers from my own garden.
​
My abstract paintings are fun to create and really stretches my ideas . To sketch ,sketch and sketch, composing colourful montages of many images of familiar objects, places and scenes, some imaginary, some real.
My artwork is again on exhibition for Autumn 2026, at the Big Art Show in Paisley near Glasgow, my 3rd year of being accepted into the exhibition.
My art work has featured in community NHS charity auctions and Malawi Children that carry local stories, making them thoughtful gifts or gallery-worthy additions.
